OVERVIEW

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the League of Arab States (LAS), and their partner organizations, in cooperation with Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE), are hosting the second edition of the Arab International Digital Cooperation and Development Forum (DCDF-2025) under the theme β€œOur Vision, Our World, Our Future.” The event will take place in InterContinental Amman, Jordan, from February 23 to 26, 2025.

This forum is the first of its kind in fostering digital cooperation in the Arab region and beyond. It aligns with the Global Digital Compact (GDC) and the resolutions of the Arab Telecommunications and Information Council of Ministers (ATICM), stemming from its 27th session in Abu Dhabi on January 18, 2024.

DCDF-2025 builds on the success of the DCDF-2021 and three prior regional consultative meetings organized by ESCWA in collaboration with LAS. These took place on August 11, 2020, December 3, 2020, and April 27, 2021, with follow-up inter-organizational meetings that endorsed the consolidation of regional platforms for policy dialogue.

This second edition aims to review the progress of the Arab Digital Agenda 2023-2033, adopted at the 32nd Arab Summit on May 19, 2023, and contribute to global digital cooperation and WSIS+20 review processes. The event will include various tracks, high-level segments, thematic sessions, and side events, bringing together public and private sectors, the technical community, academia, civil society, youth, and international organizations.

Key segments of DCDF-2025 include:

  • February 23, 2025: β€œThe First High-level Partners’ Conference on the Arab Digital Agenda 2023–2033 (HLPC_ADA).”
  • February 24-26, 2025: β€œThe Fourth High-level Forum on the WSIS and 2030 Agenda (Arab WSIS).”
  • February 24-26, 2025: β€œThe Seventh Conference of the Arab Internet Governance Forum (Arab IGF).”

This inclusive platform will facilitate discussions on priority issues concerning digital development and cooperation across the Arab region and globally. The dialogue will address the digital future for the next decade, set standards, and build consensus on regional and thematic digital development issues, guided by major global and regional forums and declarations.

We look forward to welcoming you to DCDF-2025 and to your active participation in shaping the future of digital cooperation in the Arab region and beyond.
